This podcast brings up a really good point that often gets over looked. A lot of people are interested in help the environment but not everyone who is interested is actively taking part. I think that is in part, because people don't know how or because they aren't willing to give their money to companies who are eco-friendly because their products cost more than non-eco competitors.
It's kind of a vicious cycle in that way because once more people invest their money in, for example, eco-friendly makeup then more companies will invest money in it and it could potentially become available at a cheaper price.

A great resource for finding eco-friendly items is

I think Kelly is right. A lot of people do act like they care about the environment and say they want to be eco-friendly, but wanting to be eco-friendly and being eco-friendly are two totally different things. People need to become actively involved in the green movement and understand why it is so important for future generations to come. Also, if companies begin producing more and more green products, like Kelly said, the prices will eventually come down. Until then, I think it is important for people to understand that paying slightly more for something so important to our environment will actually go a long way.
